Twitter is reported to be working on a subscription
platform, as Tom Warren reports in The Verge. The code name is “Gryphon” which makes me
think of graphene or maybe carbon nanotubes.
This might include specialized content or following approved
users. What would be good would be if it
could bundle subscriptions to newspapers or magazines that are among these
quality users. That could make getting higher quality news from a variety of
sources cheaper for consumers.
